The President of the Portuguese Republic, Cavaco Silva, presided to the official inauguration of the H2OTEL Congress & Medical Spa in Unhais da Serra, Covilhã.

The unit, belonging to the  Natura IMB Hotels Group, is a mountain hotel built from the beginning, architecturally integrated within the landscape, thus allowing a close connection to nature. Its 90 rooms, 17 of which are suites, have a magnificent view over the Alforfa glacier, on the southwest side of Serra da Estrela.

Also noteworthy is the Aquadome, a Mountain Spa divided in four major areas: Aquatermas, the most modern thermal centre of the country; AquaFisio, a fully equipped physical therapy and osteopathy centre; AquaCorpus, for a full encounter between body and mind and AquaLudic, the most innovative set of dynamic pools.

H2OTEL also has about 1000m2 of congress and meeting rooms, banquet rooms, lounge and lounge bar with terrace, Gourmet store, game room and a gymnasium.
